Introduction - who is Vobile?
Vobile is a SaaS / technology company that provides copyright protection, content identification, monetization, and enforcement tools (e.g. VideoTracker, RightsID, ChannelID) to rights holders in media, entertainment, sports, publishing, and platforms. In its marketing materials, it claims “the world's largest platforms, film studios, TV networks, sports leagues, and publishers” as its clientele. In one of the letters I reviewed (termed a "copyright complaint notice") sent to Charter Communications ISP seeking to provide a DMCA takedown notice on behalf of Warner Media, LLC and/or its affiliated companies. The takedown notice at issue involved the Game of Thrones movie. There could be other titles at issue.
