California Counties served by the Eastern District

The Eastern District of California basically consists of courts in the Fresno area and the Sacramento area.  Here is how it breaks down.

I.  For cases arising in Calaveras, Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Stanislaus, Tulare, and Tuolumne counties cases can be assigned to FRESNO FEDERAL COURT, BAKERSFIELD FEDERAL COURTS, or YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (yes, there is a court there for violators of the park laws)

II.  For disputes arising in Alpine, Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo, and Yuba counties cases may be filed and heard in SACRAMENTO FEDERAL COURT or the FEDERAL COURT IN REDDING, CALIFORNIA.
